jackie de kooning

  1. This is wonderful, Jean. I love the lettering - it's such a perfect fit for the stamp. Is the background a watercolor wash?

  2. hahaha - i'll have to look and see if i have ever pulled out real art supplies to do any envelopes. i used a posterman sharpie paint marker. a big fat one left over from the conference in st louis
    and the black is marker too
    i'll send you the *reject* one that i tried first
    it would have been ok...but right away, i saw that it needed too many layers
    the lighter tannish color is the brand of marker that i always forget that is not permanent...tombo, i think. brush marker. maybe they are permanent, but they are more watery than inky.

  4. I've never tried those markers, but I absolutely love the watery look. White glaze on the top is nice too.
