Sunday Guest Artist - Christopher Rouleau

Christopher specifically requests that people do not appropriate things from his website. I'm not sure if that means he doesn't want links. If he doesn't want this on my blog, I will be happy to take it down.

However.....I love this alphabet.
Love, love, love it.

I see following up in the future. Or maybe not. It is such a dilemma to know what is OK to use for inspiration.

  1. As a font designer I would think he is asking people not to copy or steal his work. Or make something of your own changing his a little. If this is a font he would probably like you to buy it. That is the way we font designers can afford to make more.

    1. Thank you for taking time to comment. How do font designers feel about hand lettering people doing a hand lettered version of one of their fonts? My dilemma is that I don't need the font - and hand lettering allows more flexibility than fonts. Do you object to people looking at your fonts and doing their own version in hand lettering? I am always seeing fonts that have good ideas for hand lettering. I don't have the patience to copy them exactly.

Thanks again for taking time to post.
